• Full time, fixed term position until June 2023

An opportunity exists for a dynamic and driven Financial Planning Analyst to join the Finance and Corporate Performance team at Whitehorse City Council.  This role will report to the Financial Planning and Analysis Team Leader to provide support to the organisation, with a focus on budgeting, reporting, analysis and process improvements.  To be successful in this role, you will be qualified, have experience within an organisation of similar size and complexity, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the coordination, preparation and review of Council budgets and forecasts
• Preparation of monthly management reports and analysis
• Implementation of new integrated strategic planning requirements under the Local Government Act 2020
• Partnering with the organisation to understand financial performance and provide analytical support
• Implementing improvements to analysis and reporting processes
• Administration and user training for Magiq budgeting and reporting system
